I know, me, teaching. However, I’m really good at it and I’ve got a DBS so I’m safe as well.
I have experience in running a plethora of workshops, drama, comedy and stand up and have over a decade’s experience in delivering lessons and workshops.
Here are some nice words people have said about my teaching:
“Frankly, Kiri Pritchard Mclean’s work with our stand up students is top notch, not only does she know her comedy, she also knows exactly how to extract the funny from others too. She’s inspiring, dynamic, hugely intelligent and very very funny!” – Lisa Moore , Programme Leader for Comedy Writing and Performance University of Salford.
“Kiri’s workshop’s with our students have been great – supportive and insightful. She helps develop the material and build confidence!” – Andrew Fillis – Head of Acting, ALRA North
“Kiri jointly ran a comedy workshop as part of the Mid Wales Comedy Festival in association with Powys County Council and Arts Council Wales.
The workshops were well structured, communication with the group was clear and effective at all times and all the group wanted to do further work with Kiri and James in the future.
Because of the success of this session we are looking at funding for a longer term project which we would love Kiri to be involved with” – Owen Griffkin, Powys County Council
“Kiri has delivered a number of workshops as part of the Royal Exchange Theatre’s partnership with the Booth Centre (a day centre that offers activities, advice and support to homeless people). She has an instant and genuinely warm rapport with participants, encouraging people to reflect on their experiences and tell their own stories, creating a safe and comfortable space for sharing, humour and laughter (lots and lots of laughter!). Everyone involved thought the sessions were a real success and as one of the participants from the Booth Centre put it ‘I’m glad I did it: it gave me confidence and was a really positive experience‘” – Ben Turner, Community Programme Leader, Royal Exchange Theatre
“Kiri is an exceptional teacher; sparky, inspiring and warm, able to bring out the best in a wide variety of different ages and abilities. I can’t recommend her workshops highly enough, for skills development, confidence building and opportunities for self-expression.” – Rebbecca Ray – Community Arts Manager, Wyeside Arts Centre
