About

Hello World, Principally my Dad, welcome to the little part of the internet I like to call; MY WEBSITE. Catchy isn’t it?

I’ve put this here so my Dad has something to read when he Googles me every night and so that the people I went to school with can see what that loud girl with the posh name is up to. For both parties I’d like to clarify that I did not sleep with Ben Fogle and have no idea how that rumour started. Ben’s loose tongue I can only imagine.

So, please have a nose about here.

Quotes

  • “The only female act of the night Kiri Pritchard McLean was the unsung hero. She was excellent in a shortish set… not averse to some self-deprecating humour and provided plenty of laughs about the possibility of becoming a parent”

    Stourbridge News
  • “Among the very best are Gein’s Family Giftshop… they work harder and tighter than James Brown, with the kind of sensibilities that would unsettle even the darkest of League of Gentleman fans” ★★★★★

    The Sunday Times
  • “The biggest lesson this smart, instantly likeable girl-next-door type from Anglesey will give you is in observational comedy. She balances affection with an acute eye for the ridiculous to bring you a stand up set of well delivered, increasingly funny anecdotes”

    Three Weeks
  • “Not afraid to shock a few people – McLean probably had the hardest laughs of the night and impressed throughout”

    Giggle Beats
  • “Kiri was by far the funniest & quick witted, one to look out for in the future”

Kiri Pritchard-McLean: Hysterical Woman

As seen on Russell Howard's Stand Up Central, join Leicester Mercury Finalist and the brains behind the multi award winning Gein's Family Giftshop, Kiri Pritchard - Mclean in her impossibly ambitious début show looking at race, genetics and gender. Fingers crossed she won’t accidentally commit a hate crime.

Gein's Family Giftshop

I’m one fourth of the Multi-award winning sketch group Gein’s Family Giftshop.

“But there’s only three of them on stage, two of them are men and one is a red headed woman” I hear everyone cry. Well, I don’t appear on stage because when I try and act I look like I’ve closed a door on my finger and I’m trying to pretend it hasn’t happened. However, I’m great at bossing people about and writing funny things so I write with Gein’s, direct them and generally make sure they get out the house on time.

Podcast

I know, I know, I wish I could do a podcast about something charmingly twee like antiques or hilarious like dogs dressed as celebrities. Alas the only thing I know enough to talk at length about is serial killers. Luckily for me one of my comedian buddies, Rachel Fairburn, is also interested in these horrible shits so I don't have to talk about them on my own.

It's really good, honest. If you don't believe me, give it a listen.
